EISC’S Paul Banfer Invited To Board Of ELAB

Las Vegas — EISC is pleased to announce that effective August 15, 2004, Paul Banfer, Founder and Vice President of Product Technology, will officially serve as a member of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s Environmental Laboratory Advisory Board (ELAB).   ELAB was established in compliance with the Federal Advisory Committee Act in 1995 to solicit consensus advice from the environmental laboratory community on the NELAC process and standards.   Banfer joins a vast and diverse group of business leaders whose membership includes associations for the environmental laboratory industry, associations from EPA’s regulated community, federal, local and tribal governments and laboratory assessment bodies.

“I feel very fortunate to have the opportunity to work with Paul in this capacity and he has already contributed a lot to their [ELAB’s] success over the past several months,” says Lara P. Autry, NELAC/NELAP Director, U.S. Environmental Protection Agency.

“I’m able to bring my information technology experience of over 100 laboratories over various analytical industries to the table,” says Banfer, whose more than 20 years extensive experience includes the Aerospace, Agriculture and Environmental fields.   “It also gives me inspiration to be associated with such esteemed professionals who care greatly about the important issues surrounding the laboratory industry.”
